Bhuttico Collaborations & Global Presence

Weaving Heritage into Global Design Conversations.

Bhuttico × The Woolmark Company × Péro

2019 | Lakmé Fashion Week – Farm to Fashion.

In 2019, Bhuttico collaborated with The Woolmark Company and renowned Indian fashion label Péro, led by designer Aneeth Arora, as part of the Farm to Fashion initiative showcased at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort. The collection was presented on Sustainable Fashion Day, one of the most important platforms highlighting responsible fashion in India.

This collaboration brought together premium Merino wool, traditional Himalayan handloom techniques, and contemporary design to create garments that reflected sustainability, craftsmanship, and modern Indian fashion.

Exploring Contemporary Design Through Himalayan Handloom

2017 | Designer Collaboration – Rajesh Pratap Singh at Kullu

In 2017, Bhuttico collaborated with renowned Indian fashion designer Rajesh Pratap Singh in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, in association with The Woolmark Company.

During this collaboration, Bhuttico worked closely with the designer to highlight the farm-to-fashion journey of Merino wool, combining traditional Himalayan handloom techniques with a contemporary design perspective. The engagement focused on understanding wool behaviour, refining fabric quality, and exploring how handcrafted textiles could be adapted for modern menswear and womenswear.

Building the Foundation for Global Collaboration

2017 | Early Designer Partnerships & Woolmark Initiatives

Prior to its Lakmé Fashion Week showcase, Bhuttico was actively engaged in early designer partnerships and wool-focused initiatives that laid the groundwork for larger, global collaborations. During this period, Bhuttico became part of conversations around premium wool, sustainable sourcing, and artisan-led production in collaboration with The Woolmark Company.

Bhuttico worked closely with wool-focused programmes and designers to explore the use of fine-quality wool in traditional handloom weaving. Emphasis was placed on fabric innovation, consistency, and quality—ensuring that heritage techniques could meet modern design and market expectations.
